Every morning, in hospitals and community centers across Vietnam, children wake up hungry. Not hungry the way most of us experience it — a nudge that lunch is coming — but hungry in a way that makes it hard to focus in school, hard to recover from illness, hard to imagine a future that looks different from today.
That's what the Blake Linh Foundation's feeding programs are designed to address, one meal at a time.
Why Nutrition Is the Foundation of Everything Else
When a child is malnourished, education doesn't stick. Healthcare doesn't hold. Opportunity passes by unnoticed because the body is spending every resource just trying to function. This is the reality for thousands of families across Vietnam — particularly in rural communities and in the wards of public hospitals where children with serious illnesses are also fighting hunger.
Our feeding programs work precisely because they don't treat nutrition as separate from the rest of a child's life. A hot meal delivered to a hospital ward means a child fighting illness isn't also fighting hunger. A school-based nutrition program means children arrive ready to learn, not distracted by an empty stomach.
What Our Feeding Programs Look Like on the Ground
Blake Linh Foundation's feeding work takes three main forms:
Daily Meal Support
Hot meals and food packages delivered regularly to children and families in need. These aren't occasional gifts; they're consistent, dependable nourishment that families can count on.
Hospital Outreach
In Vietnam's public hospitals, families of sick children often have no support system nearby. We bring meals directly to pediatric wards, ensuring that children receiving medical treatment are also receiving proper nutrition to support their recovery.
School-Based Nutrition
Working with schools in underserved communities, we provide supplemental food support that keeps children fed, focused, and in class.
Since our founding, the Blake Linh Foundation and our founder's prior work through the DHP Humanitarian Charity Center have contributed to more than 12,000 meals served to vulnerable children and families across Vietnam.
The Faces Behind the Numbers
Numbers matter, but they don't tell the whole story. The story is the six-year-old girl in a Hanoi hospital ward who lights up when volunteers arrive. The family in a rural province who can count on a food package when seasonal work dries up. The classroom where children are paying attention — really paying attention — because they had breakfast.
These moments are why this work exists. And they're sustained entirely by people who believe that a child's hunger is something we can actually do something about.
Feed a Child in Vietnam
A $25 donation funds meals through our feeding programs. A monthly gift of $25 provides ongoing nutritional support that families can count on — and you'll receive a Blake Linh Foundation shirt as a thank-you.
Donate NowEvery contribution is stewarded carefully, with 85 cents of every dollar going directly to programs like this one. Because every child deserves to grow up without hunger.
